We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic classroom practitioner who is committed to developing students' literacy, communication and critical-thinking skills.

The successful candidate will teach English across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons in English Language and Literature while supporting students to develop confidence in reading, writing and verbal communication.

The school is looking for a teacher who can create an inspiring classroom environment and encourage students to develop a genuine appreciation of literature and language. You will be expected to plan lessons that are challenging, accessible and responsive to the needs of individual learners.

This role would suit an experienced English Teacher as well as an ECT looking for a supportive school in which to establish and develop their teaching career.

Experience and Qualifications

• English Teacher with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4.

• Strong subject knowledge across English Language and Literature.

• A formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE.

• Ability to deliver engaging lessons that develop reading, writing and analytical skills.

• Strong understanding of GCSE English examination requirements.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• Ability to support students with different abilities and educational needs.

• Passion for English and a commitment to developing students' literacy.

• Legal ability to work within the UK.
