An inclusive academy in Letchworth Garden City is seeking a Religious Education Teacher for a fixed-term appointment. The successful candidate will contribute to a broad curriculum and support students in developing critical thinking and respectful dialogue.
The Role
RE Delivery: Teach Religious Education across KS3 and GCSE.
Ethical Debate: Explore themes including justice, equality, morality and human rights.
Religious Literacy: Develop students’ understanding of major world religions.
Examination Preparation: Support students with evaluative and extended writing.
Enrichment: Contribute to assemblies, debates and cultural learning activities.
The Candidate
Relevant Degree: A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy or a related subject.
Subject Knowledge: Strong understanding of religious and non-religious worldviews.
Discussion Skills: Ability to lead balanced and respectful debate.
Teaching Ability: Clear explanations and effective differentiation.
Inclusive Practice: Commitment to supporting students from all backgrounds.
