A welcoming Catholic secondary school in Hitchin is seeking an English Teacher to support its department during a temporary staffing requirement. The successful candidate will deliver engaging English lessons and contribute to the school’s reading and literacy priorities.

The Role

  • English Delivery: Teach Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4.

  • Reading Development: Promote reading for pleasure and develop students’ comprehension.

  • GCSE Preparation: Prepare students for examinations, assessments and extended writing.

  • Literacy Intervention: Support students who require additional help with written accuracy.

  • Curriculum Contribution: Assist with schemes of work, assessment and resource development.
