Salary: Inner London Pay Scale (M1 – UPS3) + TLR available for suitable candidates

About the School & Role A highly regarded secondary school located in the heart of Westminster is seeking an innovative and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join a flourishing department. The school features state-of-the-art D&T facilities, including CAD/CAM equipment, 3D printers, laser cutters, and traditional multi-material workshops supported by a full-time technician. You will deliver inspiring lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE D&T / Engineering), with opportunities to teach A-Level Product Design for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, high-quality practical and theoretical D&T lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.
Foster a safe, well-managed workshop environment adhering to health and safety standards.
Utilize modern CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, 2D Design) alongside traditional manufacturing skills.
Track student progress, provide targeted feedback, and support individual creative projects.
Contribute to extracurricular STEM initiatives, design competitions, and showcase events.
Requirements
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
Strong subject knowledge across multi-materials, product design, and digital manufacturing.
Demonstrated history of effective classroom management and student achievement.
Full right to work in the UK.
