The Opportunity

We are looking to register experienced and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teachers for daily supply opportunities across Surrey.

This is not a permanent or full-time position. Teachers will instead be offered day-to-day supply assignments based on their availability, experience, preferred locations and the needs of local schools.

Assignments may range from individual cover days to short blocks of work, giving you the flexibility to continue teaching while working around your own commitments.

The Role

As a Daily Supply Design & Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop students' creativity, technical understanding and practical abilities.

Lesson Delivery: Deliver clear and engaging Design & Technology lessons across the relevant Key Stages.

Practical Skills: Support students with designing, making, modelling and evaluating products using appropriate materials and techniques.

Design Development: Encourage students to develop ideas, solve problems and consider the purpose and functionality of their designs.

Health & Safety: Ensure practical activities are carried out safely and in accordance with school procedures and workshop expectations.

Classroom Management: Maintain an organised, positive and purposeful learning environment.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent where applicable.

• Experience teaching Design & Technology across the relevant Key Stages.

• Strong practical and technical subject knowledge.

• Good awareness of workshop health and safety.

• Excellent classroom management skills.

• A creative, confident and adaptable approach.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to quickly establish positive relationships with students.

• Reliability and professionalism.

• A valid legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
