This position offers the opportunity to teach French to students with a range of abilities and levels of prior experience. You will deliver engaging lessons that develop students' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, while also introducing them to the culture and traditions of French-speaking countries.
At Key Stage 3, you will help students establish a strong foundation in vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. At GCSE, you will build on these skills and prepare students for the demands of the examination course.
The school would particularly welcome a teacher who is confident creating opportunities for students to use French naturally during lessons rather than relying solely on written exercises. You will also monitor student progress and provide appropriate intervention and support where required.

French Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
French Degree
QTS or recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching French at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4
GCSE French teaching experience
Excellent written and spoken French
Strong knowledge of French grammar
Ability to motivate students
Effective behaviour management
Good planning and organisational skills
Commitment to supporting students of varying abilities
Salary
The salary for this French Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
