The Opportunity
We are looking to register experienced and enthusiastic Criminology Teachers for daily supply opportunities across Newcastle upon Tyne.
This is not a permanent or full-time position. Instead, teachers will be offered day-to-day supply assignments based on their availability, experience, preferred locations, and the needs of local schools.
Assignments can range from individual cover days to short blocks, allowing you to continue teaching while maintaining control over your schedule.
The Role
As a Daily Supply Criminology Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that examine crime scene procedures, legal outcomes, and criminological theories.
Lesson Delivery: Deliver well-structured Criminology lessons across Key Stage 5 (Applied Diplomas/Vocational routes).
Criminological Understanding: Support students in developing their knowledge of crime awareness, criminological theories, courtroom procedures, and social policy.
Case Study Evaluation: Guide students through analyzing legal cases, criminal statistics, and law enforcement strategies.
Debate & Analysis: Create opportunities for students to evaluate punishment models and criminal justice reforms.

What We Are Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized equivalent where applicable (QTLS/FE experience welcome).
Experience teaching Criminology across Key Stage 5 (WJEC Level 3 Applied Diploma preferred).
Strong subject knowledge.
Good understanding of criminal justice frameworks, theories, and controlled assessment procedures.
