Female PE Teacher – Nottingham
A high-achieving secondary school in Nottingham is seeking an enthusiastic and committed PE Teacher to join its dedicated Physical Education department. The successful candidate will be confident teaching Physical Education across KS3 and KS4, with the ability to deliver engaging, challenging and inclusive lessons that encourage students of all abilities to participate and achieve their potential. The PE department is well established and committed to providing students with a broad and varied curriculum. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to both curriculum PE and the wider sporting life of the school, supporting students in developing their skills, confidence and enjoyment of physical activity.
The Role
Teach engaging and challenging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that cater for a wide range of abilities.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing appropriate feedback to support development.
Encourage participation and positive attitudes towards physical activity and sport.
Contribute to the wider extracurricular sporting programme where appropriate.
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the PE department and across the wider school.
Maintain high expectations of behaviour, effort and achievement.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a PE Teacher who is:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant PE teaching experience.
Confident teaching PE across KS3 and KS4.
Passionate about sport, physical education and student development.
Able to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
A strong classroom practitioner with effective behaviour management skills.
Committed to supporting students both academically and personally.
Keen to contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
