About The Role
We're looking for a Psychology Teacher to join a high-achieving, Ofsted-Outstanding secondary school in Newham, East London.
You'll join a supportive Social Sciences team, delivering engaging lessons at Key Stage 5, and guiding students through research, theory, and the real-world application of psychology with rigour and curiosity. Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver inspiring, well-structured Psychology lessons at KS5.
Bring the subject to life — from cognitive and social psychology to research methods and contemporary debates — in ways that challenge and engage every learner.
Develop students' analytical and evaluative skills to prepare them for exam success and further study.
Assess, track, and support student progress, using data to shape your teaching.
Contribute to the wider life of the department and the school community.
Uphold high standards of behaviour and safeguarding at all times.
Requirements
A degree in Psychology or a closely related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.
The ability (or readiness) to teach Psychology at KS5.
Genuine passion, drive, and a commitment to helping young people succeed.
