Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver inspiring, well-structured RE lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.

• Bring the subject to life — from world religions and ethics to philosophy and contemporary moral issues — in ways that challenge and engage every learner.

• Create an inclusive classroom where students of all backgrounds feel able to explore and discuss ideas openly.

• Assess, track, and support student progress, using data to shape your teaching.

• Contribute to the wider life of the department and the school community.

• Uphold high standards of behaviour and safeguarding at all times.

Requirements

• A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.

• The ability (or readiness) to teach RE at KS3, KS4, and KS5.

• Genuine passion, drive, and a commitment to helping young people succeed.
