ABOUT THE ROLE

Do you want your subject to be the highlight of a student's week? We're looking for a Computer Science Teacher to join a thriving, Ofsted-Outstanding secondary school in the heart of Hackney. You'll become part of a forward-thinking Computing department, delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and deliver inspiring, well-structured Computer Science lessons across KS4 and KS5.

  • Bring the subject to life — from programming and algorithms to computational thinking — in ways that stretch and motivate every learner.

  • Assess, track, and support student progress, using data to shape your teaching.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the Computing department and the school community.

  • Build positive, respectful relationships with students, colleagues, and families.

  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and safeguarding at all times.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.

  • The ability (or readiness) to teach Computer Science at KS4 and KS5.

  • Genuine passion, drive, and a commitment to helping young people succeed.
