This is an opportunity for a German Teacher to join a collaborative MFL department and deliver a structured and engaging German curriculum.
You will teach students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, developing their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. The successful candidate will need to be confident teaching grammar and vocabulary while also providing students with opportunities to communicate in German in practical and meaningful situations.
The school is looking for a teacher who can make language learning enjoyable without losing sight of the academic requirements of the curriculum. Students should develop a strong foundation at KS3 before progressing towards the skills and knowledge required for GCSE.
You will plan lessons for students with different levels of ability and confidence and will need to adapt your teaching accordingly. Regular assessment will be used to identify areas where students require additional support or challenge.
The role will also involve marking, curriculum planning and departmental meetings. There may be opportunities to contribute to language enrichment activities and wider cultural events.

German Teacher - Experience and Qualifications

The salary for this German Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
