This role would suit a PE Teacher who enjoys working with students of different abilities and can deliver a varied and inclusive Physical Education curriculum.
You will teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering both practical and classroom-based PE. Students should be given opportunities to develop their physical skills while also learning about areas such as health, fitness, tactics, teamwork and the principles behind different sports.
The school is looking for someone who can create an encouraging environment where students feel comfortable participating regardless of their existing sporting ability. You will need to demonstrate strong organisation and behaviour management, particularly when teaching practical lessons.
The successful candidate will also contribute to the wider sporting life of the school. This may include supporting extracurricular clubs, fixtures, competitions and school sports events.
You will work closely with colleagues to plan lessons, assess student progress and ensure students receive a consistent and engaging PE curriculum.

Physical Education Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
PE, Sport or related degree
QTS or recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching PE at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4
GCSE PE experience desirable
Strong practical PE knowledge
Good classroom and behaviour management
Ability to motivate students of different abilities
Good organisational skills
Willingness to support extracurricular sport
Commitment to student progress and wellbeing
Salary
The salary for this Physical Education Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
