Our client is looking to appoint a practical, organised and enthusiastic Design & Technology Technician to join a successful secondary school near Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with practical workshop experience who is looking to develop their career within an educational environment.

The successful DT Technician will work closely with teachers to ensure that practical lessons are well prepared, safe and fully resourced. Responsibilities will include preparing materials and equipment, maintaining workshops, supporting practical projects and ensuring that health and safety procedures are consistently followed.

Experience and Qualifications

• Previous experience in a technical, workshop or practical environment desirable

• Experience working with tools, machinery, materials or specialist equipment

• Strong organisational and practical skills

• Good understanding of health and safety procedures

• Ability to work effectively as part of a school department

• Relevant DT, Engineering, Manufacturing or practical qualification desirable

• Right to work in the UK
