Computer Science Teacher – Derby

A forward-thinking secondary school in Derby is looking for an ambitious Computer Science Teacher to join its Computing department from November.

The school is passionate about preparing students for the rapidly changing world of technology and is looking for a teacher who can develop students' programming, computational thinking and problem-solving skills.

This role offers the opportunity to teach Computer Science through KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5 for the right candidate.

The successful Computer Science Teacher will:

  • Have QTS and a relevant Computer Science qualification.

  • Have strong knowledge of programming and Computer Science.

  • Be confident teaching secondary students.

  • Have experience delivering GCSE Computer Science.

  • Be able to create engaging practical and theoretical lessons.

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management.
