A thriving secondary school in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join its successful Science Department on a full-time basis, with an ASAP start.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students through engaging Science lessons and contribute to a positive, ambitious department. The role would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT with strong subject knowledge and a commitment to achieving excellent outcomes.
About the Role
The successful Science Teacher will deliver high-quality lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5, helping students develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills and ability to think critically.
You will be responsible for:
Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons
Teaching Science across KS3-KS5
Supporting students through GCSE and A Level study
Assessing and monitoring student progress
Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom expectations
Contributing to departmental planning and enrichment activities
What the School is Looking For
The school is looking for a committed Science Teacher with excellent subject knowledge and the ability to engage students of varying abilities. A specialist background in Biology, Chemistry or Physics would be welcomed, particularly where you can contribute confidently at KS4 and KS5.

Experience and Qualifications
QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Degree in Science or a related discipline
Strong subject knowledge
Experience teaching Science at secondary level
Ability to teach through KS5

Commitment to student progress and achievement

Salary
The successful Science Teacher will be paid in line with the relevant teacher pay scale, depending on experience and qualifications.
