The Opportunity

We are looking to register experienced and enthusiastic Sociology Teachers for daily supply opportunities across Croydon.

This is not a permanent or full-time position. Teachers will instead be offered day-to-day supply assignments according to their availability, experience, preferred locations and the needs of local schools.

Assignments may involve individual cover days or short blocks, allowing you to maintain flexibility while continuing to support students' academic development.

The Role

As a Daily Supply Sociology Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that encourage students to question assumptions, evaluate evidence and develop independent viewpoints.

Lesson Delivery: Deliver well-structured Sociology lessons across the relevant Key Stages.

Critical Thinking: Support students in evaluating sociological theories, concepts and research.

Discussion & Debate: Encourage thoughtful classroom discussion and help students construct clear, evidence-based arguments.

Student Progress: Develop students' analytical skills and ability to apply sociological concepts to contemporary issues.

Classroom Management: Maintain a calm, respectful and purposeful learning environment.
