IT Technician - Outstanding Secondary School in Peterborough

An outstanding Secondary School in Peterborough is looking for an experienced IT Support Technician to join its technical team. This is a hands-on role providing 1st and 2nd line support across a range of users, systems and devices.

The Role

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support via phone, email and on-site

  • Diagnose and resolve Windows, Microsoft 365, hardware and connectivity issues

  • Install, configure and maintain PCs, peripherals and software

  • Support user accounts, devices and basic networking

  • Assist with infrastructure upgrades, deployments and IT projects

  • Provide support across servers, backups and security systems

  • Log, manage and resolve incidents through to completion

  • Work closely with colleagues to maintain a reliable IT environment

About You

  • 2+ years' experience in an IT support environment

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365

  • Good understanding of networking and troubleshooting

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Able to prioritise and manage multiple issues effectively

  • Proactive approach with a genuine interest in technology
