Role Overview

A modern and rapidly improving secondary school in Peterborough is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Maths Teacher to join its dedicated Mathematics faculty. This full-time, permanent position involves delivering high-quality Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with opportunities to teach A-Level Mathematics for suitably qualified candidates.

The position is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers looking to make a positive impact in an energetic school environment. You will join a collaborative department focused on building problem-solving skills, numerical confidence, and academic success for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Teaching: Plan and deliver engaging, structured Maths lessons across KS3–KS4, making complex numerical concepts clear and accessible.

  • Student Progress: Monitor attainment, implement targeted catch-up support, and prepare students thoroughly for GCSE examinations.

  • Departmental Contribution: Work alongside colleagues to update curriculum resources, utilize digital learning tools, and support extra-curricular Maths clubs.

  • Qualifications: Relevant degree in Mathematics or a related discipline alongside QTS or PGCE.

  • Skills: Strong subject knowledge, proactive classroom management, and a passion for inspiring students across all learning levels.
