School Caretaker - Successful Secondary School in Norwich

A well-established secondary school in Norwich is seeking a reliable and practical School Caretaker to join its site team.

The successful candidate will help maintain a safe, secure and well-presented school environment for students, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open and close the school and manage site security.

  • Complete general maintenance, repairs and DIY.

  • Carry out site inspections and resolve maintenance issues.

  • Support room setups and school events.

  • Monitor health and safety across the premises.

  • Liaise with contractors and service providers.

About You

  • Previous caretaking, maintenance or site experience is desirable.

  • Practical and confident with general repairs.

  • Good understanding of health and safety.

  • Reliable, organised and able to work independently.

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and working in a school environment.
