An Outstanding secondary school in Croydon is looking to appoint a committed Maths Teacher to join its successful Mathematics department. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is confident delivering well-structured lessons and who genuinely enjoys helping students make progress.
You will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, preparing students for their GCSE examinations while ensuring younger pupils develop a strong foundation in mathematical understanding. The role will involve planning engaging lessons, adapting teaching to different abilities and using assessment effectively to identify areas where students need further support or challenge.
The Mathematics department works closely together and shares a strong commitment to high standards. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced teachers, contribute to departmental planning and take part in regular professional development.

Maths Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
Mathematics or related degree
QTS or recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4
GCSE Mathematics teaching experience
Strong subject knowledge
Effective classroom and behaviour management
Ability to differentiate lessons for students of varying abilities
A commitment to raising student attainment
Salary
The salary for this Maths Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
