The school is seeking a confident Geography Teacher to join its Humanities department on a full-time permanent basis. You will teach students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering lessons covering both physical and human Geography and preparing pupils effectively for their GCSE examinations.
The successful teacher will be expected to plan and deliver well-structured lessons that cater for different abilities within the classroom. You will encourage students to question, analyse and apply geographical knowledge rather than simply memorising information.
This role would suit a teacher who enjoys working collaboratively and who wants to be part of a department that takes pride in its curriculum. You will work closely with other Humanities teachers to develop resources, share good practice and monitor student progress.
There is also an expectation that you will contribute positively to the wider school community. The school encourages staff to participate in enrichment opportunities and to help students develop their confidence beyond the classroom.

Geography Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
Geography degree
QTS or recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching Geography at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 Geography
GCSE Geography experience
Strong knowledge of physical and human Geography
Good classroom management
Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
Salary
The salary for this Geography Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, according to experience.
