Role Overview

An Outstanding secondary academy in Bradford is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join its high-performing Science Faculty. This full-time, permanent position involves delivering an enquiry-led Science curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with opportunities to teach specialist Biology, Chemistry, or Physics at Key Stage 5 depending on expertise.

The post is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners looking for career growth. You will join a collaborative team with a strong culture of support, well-resourced practical facilities, and dedicated technician support.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Teaching: Deliver engaging, high-quality Science lessons across KS3–KS5, developing pupils' scientific reasoning, analytical skills, and practical competence.

  • Enrichment: Support co-curricular STEM activities, including science clubs, CREST awards, and university prep guidance.

  • Qualifications: Relevant degree in a Science discipline alongside QTS or PGCE.

  • Skills: Strong subject knowledge, excellent understanding of laboratory safety procedures, and a commitment to high expectations for all learners.
