Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Psychology Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Southend-on-Sea as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver Psychology across KS4 and KS5, helping students develop a strong understanding of psychological theories, research and contemporary issues.

The Role

The successful Psychology Teacher will be responsible for:

• Delivering engaging Psychology lessons across KS4 and KS5.

• Teaching psychological theories, research methods and contemporary applications.

• Developing students' ability to analyse, evaluate and apply psychological concepts.

• Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations through effective revision and exam practice.

• Using questioning and discussion to develop students' confidence and understanding.

• Monitoring student progress and identifying areas requiring further support.

• Providing clear and constructive feedback to improve written responses.

• Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development.

• Encouraging independent study and wider engagement with Psychology.

Experience and Qualifications

• Psychology Teacher with the ability to teach KS4 and KS5.

• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of Psychology examination specifications.

• Formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as PGCE.

• Experience teaching GCSE or A-Level Psychology would be advantageous.

• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

• Ability to make complex psychological concepts accessible and engaging.

• Legal ability to work within the UK.
