Our client is currently seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Economics Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school in Norfolk as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Economics across KS4 and KS5, helping students develop a strong understanding of economic principles and their application to contemporary issues.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Economics Teacher who enjoys encouraging students to think critically and engage with current economic affairs. The Role
The successful Economics Teacher will be responsible for:
Delivering engaging Economics lessons across KS4 and KS5.
Using contemporary economic developments to bring the curriculum to life.
Developing students' ability to analyse data, evaluate policies and construct arguments.
Preparing students thoroughly for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
Planning differentiated lessons to support a range of abilities.
Monitoring progress and implementing targeted interventions.
Providing constructive feedback to improve examination technique and written responses.
Contributing to departmental planning and wider school initiatives.
Encouraging students to develop independent research and critical-thinking skills.
Experience and Qualifications
Economics Teacher with the ability to teach KS4 and KS5.
Strong knowledge of the Economics curriculum.
Formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as PGCE.
GCSE and A-Level teaching experience would be advantageous.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Excellent classroom management.
Legal ability to work within the UK.
