The Role

The successful Business & Economics Teacher will be responsible for:

• Delivering engaging and well-structured Business and Economics lessons across KS4 and KS5.

• Planning lessons that develop students' knowledge, analytical skills and ability to apply theory to real-world scenarios.

• Preparing students effectively for GCSE and A-Level examinations through targeted exam practice and revision.

• Monitoring student progress and using assessment data to identify areas for development.

• Providing constructive feedback to help students improve their written responses and examination technique.

• Encouraging students to develop independent learning, critical thinking and evaluation skills.

• Contributing to departmental planning, curriculum development and wider school initiatives.

• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour, effort and academic achievement.

• Working collaboratively with colleagues to share resources and effective teaching practice.

Experience and Qualifications

• Business & Economics Teacher with the ability to teach KS4 and KS5.

• Strong subject knowledge across Business and/or Economics.

• A formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE, is required.

• Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level Business or Economics would be highly advantageous.

• Strong understanding of examination requirements and assessment objectives.

• Ability to deliver engaging lessons that connect theory with contemporary business and economic issues.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• Commitment to supporting student progress and academic achievement.

• Legal ability to work within the UK.
