The school is seeking an enthusiastic Business Studies Teacher who can make lessons practical, relevant and academically challenging. You will teach Business Studies at GCSE and A-Level, supporting students as they develop both their subject knowledge and examination technique.
You will cover areas including business ownership, marketing, finance, operations, human resources, business strategy and the external factors that influence organisations. The successful teacher will use real companies and current business examples to help students understand how the concepts they study operate in the real world.
At GCSE and A-Level, you will develop students' ability to analyse information, apply concepts to specific businesses and evaluate different courses of action. Strong written communication will be important, particularly when preparing students for longer examination questions.
You will assess students regularly, track their progress and provide specific feedback. The school is looking for a teacher who can identify where students are struggling and provide targeted support to help them improve.
You will also contribute to curriculum planning and work collaboratively with other teachers. There may be opportunities to support enterprise activities, business competitions and wider careers-related events.

Salary
The salary for this Business Studies Teacher position will be paid to scale on a contract to scale MPS/UPS.
