A well-established Secondary School in Coventry is seeking a reliable and practical Caretaker to help maintain a safe, secure and well-presented school site.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a range of day-to-day premises duties, from general maintenance and site checks to supporting security and preparing facilities for school activities.

The Caretaker will have a hands-on role in ensuring the school site remains safe and functional throughout the year.
You will carry out regular checks of classrooms, corridors, outdoor areas, toilets and communal spaces, identifying maintenance issues and ensuring that appropriate action is taken.
Where you have the relevant skills and competence, you may undertake minor repairs and maintenance tasks yourself. More specialist or significant problems will need to be reported and referred to the appropriate contractor.
The role will also involve helping prepare rooms and facilities for meetings, assemblies, examinations, events and other school activities. You may be required to move furniture or equipment and assist colleagues with practical requests.
Site security will be another important responsibility. You will support opening and closing procedures, monitor access to the premises and ensure visitors and contractors follow the school's arrangements.
