Role Overview

An Outstanding secondary school in Liverpool is seeking an ambitious and dedicated Maths Teacher to join its highly successful Mathematics department. This full-time position involves teaching Maths across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with opportunities to teach A-Level Mathematics and Further Maths for suitably qualified candidates.

The post is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners looking to further their development or progress into middle leadership. You will join a supportive, forward-thinking team committed to making Mathematics engaging, accessible, and high-achieving for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Teaching: Deliver fresh, innovative, and well-structured Maths lessons across KS3–KS5 that promote problem-solving and numerical confidence.

  • Student Outcomes: Maintain high academic standards, supporting pupils of all abilities to achieve outstanding progress in GCSE and A-Level examinations.

  • Departmental Support: Collaborate with colleagues on scheme-of-work design, shared resources, and extra-curricular Maths challenges or university preparation.

  • Qualifications: Relevant degree in Mathematics (or a related discipline) alongside QTS or PGCE.

  • Skills: Strong subject expertise, excellent ICT skills, and a passion for inspiring students across all key stages.
