Maths Teacher Role in Royal Leamington Spa

A welcoming faith secondary school in Royal Leamington Spa is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher to join its successful Mathematics department. The school is focused on developing students' confidence, mathematical understanding and problem-solving abilities, with strong expectations for both achievement and personal development.

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 for an experienced candidate. You will deliver engaging lessons that challenge students of different abilities and help them develop the knowledge and skills needed for future study and employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3-KS5

  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-Level examinations

  • Adapt teaching to support students with different abilities and needs

  • Develop students' mathematical reasoning, fluency and problem-solving skills

  • Assess work regularly and provide constructive feedback

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development

  • Support wider school activities and enrichment opportunities

Candidate Requirements

  • QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

  • Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A positive and enthusiastic approach to teaching

  • Commitment to supporting students' academic and personal development

  • ECTs with strong subject knowledge are welcome to apply
