A dynamic secondary academy in Southampton is seeking an inspiring Teacher of Business Studies to join its Social Sciences faculty for an immediate (ASAP) start.

Job Overview
Business Studies plays a prominent role in this school’s academic and vocational identity. The successful applicant will deliver engaging Business lessons across Key Stage 4 (GCSE / BTEC) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level / BTEC Nationals).
Working closely with the Social Sciences department, you will guide pupils through marketing, finance, operations, and strategic management, while supporting enterprise enrichment activities. This is a full-time, ongoing or permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
Teach engaging practical and theoretical Business Studies lessons across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5
Direct and support enterprise initiatives, such as Young Enterprise competitions and guest speaker events
Guide GCSE, A-Level, and BTEC pupils through coursework portfolio building and written exam preparation
Maintain digital business labs and interactive software resources effectively
Assess, track, and report on student progress across internal BTEC portfolios and external examinations
Fulfill pastoral duties as a Form Tutor, supporting student wellbeing and personal development

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT / QTLS)
Honors degree in Business Management, Enterprise, Finance, or a closely related discipline
Proven track record (or clear potential during training) for delivering strong GCSE/A-Level/BTEC Business outcomes
Good knowledge of secondary business exam specifications (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, Pearson BTEC)
An active enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
