Job Overview
Mathematics plays a prominent role in this school’s academic and co-curricular identity. The successful applicant will deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE Higher and Foundation), with potential Key Stage 5 A-Level Mathematics delivery.
Working closely with the Mathematics department, you will guide pupils through algebraic manipulation, geometric reasoning, and multi-step problem solving, while running targeted revision workshops. This is a full-time, ongoing or permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
Teach engaging and mathematically rigorous lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5
Plan and deliver lessons that build numerical fluency, mathematical modeling, and problem-solving resilience
Guide GCSE and A-Level pupils through structured assessment, feedback, and written exam preparation
Utilize digital learning platforms and interactive software to enhance mathematical understanding
Assess, track, and report on student progress across formal mock exams and classwork
Fulfill pastoral duties as a Form Tutor, supporting student wellbeing and personal development

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT)

Proven track record (or clear potential during training) for delivering strong GCSE/A-Level Mathematics outcomes
Deep subject knowledge and the confidence to stretch mathematically ambitious pupils
An active enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
