A vibrant secondary academy in Bristol is seeking an energetic, dedicated Teacher of Physical Education to join its thriving PE department for an immediate (ASAP) start.

Job Overview
The successful candidate will deliver engaging core Physical Education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, alongside examination PE (GCSE PE / Vocational Sport) at Key Stage 4 and potential Key Stage 5 A-Level / BTEC Sport delivery.
Working alongside a collaborative PE department, you will coach a range of traditional team sports, athletics, and fitness modules, while actively contributing to an extensive extra-curricular fixtures schedule. This is a full-time, ongoing or permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-impact practical and theoretical Physical Education lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5
Coach and officiate school sports teams across football, rugby, netball, athletics, cricket, and basketball
Manage and lead extra-curricular sports practices, lunchtime clubs, and after-school competitive fixtures
Assess, track, and report on pupil progress across practical sport performance and theoretical examination coursework
Ensure all sports equipment, outdoor pitches, sports halls, and gymnasium spaces are maintained to strict safety standards
Serve as a Form Tutor, contributing to the pastoral care and overall wellbeing of your assigned year group

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT)
Honors degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Sports Coaching, or a closely related discipline
Proven track record (or clear potential during training) for delivering strong GCSE PE or BTEC Sport outcomes
Valid coaching credentials in core secondary sports and current First Aid certification (advantageous)
An active enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
