This position would suit a Sociology Teacher who enjoys creating lessons that encourage students to debate, evaluate different perspectives and develop well-supported arguments. You will teach Sociology at GCSE and A-Level, helping students develop the knowledge and examination skills required to achieve strong results.
You will cover the relevant areas of the curriculum and help students understand key sociological concepts, theories, research methods and contemporary issues. Lessons should encourage students to consider different viewpoints and apply sociological ideas to real-life situations.
Assessment and feedback will be an important part of the role. You will track student progress, identify gaps in understanding and provide clear guidance to help students improve their written responses.
