This is an excellent opportunity for a committed Spanish Teacher to join a successful Modern Foreign Languages department in Merton. You will teach Spanish across KS3 and KS4, delivering well-planned lessons that develop students' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
The successful teacher will be able to make Spanish accessible and enjoyable while maintaining high academic expectations. You will help students build a strong understanding of grammar and vocabulary and, at GCSE, prepare them effectively for their examinations.
The school encourages teachers to use a variety of teaching approaches, including conversation work, written activities, cultural material and independent learning. You will have the freedom to bring your own personality and creativity into the classroom while working within a well-established curriculum.
Alongside classroom teaching, you will contribute to assessment, curriculum planning and the wider development of the MFL department. You will work with colleagues to monitor student progress and identify areas where pupils may need additional support or challenge.

Spanish Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
Spanish Degree or relevant degree
QTS
Experience teaching Spanish at KS3 and KS4
Strong written and spoken Spanish
GCSE teaching experience desirable
Ability to plan engaging and appropriately challenging lessons
Strong classroom management skills
Commitment to raising student achievement
Salary
The salary for this Spanish Teacher position will be paid to scale on a contract to scale MPS/UPS.
