English Teacher – Outstanding School in Horsham
A fantastic opportunity is available for an English Teacher to join an Outstanding secondary school in Horsham on a full-time temporary basis.
The school has a strong academic focus and is looking for a teacher who can bring energy, enthusiasm and high expectations into the classroom.
You will be teaching across KS3 and KS4, with responsibility for planning and delivering engaging English Language and Literature lessons.
Your responsibilities will include:
Teaching English across the secondary age range
Delivering well-planned and engaging lessons
Supporting students to make strong academic progress
Preparing KS4 pupils for GCSE examinations
Assessing and tracking student progress
Contributing positively to the wider English department
The successful teacher will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
Have strong English subject knowledge
Have experience teaching within a secondary school
Be confident managing a classroom
Have high expectations of students
Be enthusiastic about developing students' literacy and love of English
