Maths Teacher – Independent School in Hampshire

If you're a Maths specialist looking for a permanent position in a strong academic environment, this could be an excellent opportunity.

An independent secondary school in Hampshire is looking to appoint a full-time Maths Teacher from October half term. The school has a well-established academic reputation and places a strong emphasis on achieving excellent outcomes while developing students' confidence and problem-solving skills.

The Role

You will teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, delivering challenging and accessible lessons to students with a range of abilities.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality Maths lessons

  • Teaching towards GCSE where appropriate

  • Monitoring progress and adapting teaching accordingly

  • Supporting students to develop mathematical reasoning

  • Contributing to departmental planning and resources

  • Taking part in the wider life of the school

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • QTS or equivalent

  • Strong Maths subject knowledge

  • Secondary teaching experience

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills

  • A commitment to high expectations and student achievement
