Biology Teacher Role in Coventry

An academically ambitious Independent Secondary School in Coventry is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Biology Teacher to join its successful Science Department. The role offers the opportunity to teach engaging Biology lessons across KS3-KS5, combining strong subject knowledge with practical scientific learning. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons across KS3-KS5

  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations

  • Deliver practical investigations safely

  • Develop students' scientific and analytical skills

  • Assess progress and provide constructive feedback

  • Differentiate lessons effectively

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement

  • Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment

Candidate Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Strong Biology subject knowledge

  • Experience teaching secondary Biology

  • Confidence teaching KS3 and KS4

  • Excellent classroom management

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
