This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic Art Teacher to join a well-established department and teach students across KS3 and KS4. You will be responsible for planning and delivering creative lessons that allow students to explore a range of materials, techniques, artists and creative processes.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Art curriculum and be able to help students develop practical skills alongside their ability to analyse and evaluate artwork. At GCSE level, you will support students in developing their portfolios and preparing for examinations and assessments.
The school is keen to appoint a teacher who can create an encouraging classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable experimenting with ideas and developing their own creative voice. You will need to be organised, enthusiastic and able to manage practical lessons effectively.
There will also be opportunities to contribute to exhibitions, displays and wider creative activities across the school. The department works collaboratively, and the successful applicant will be expected to share ideas and contribute to curriculum planning.

Art Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
Art or Fine Art Degree
QTS
Experience teaching Art at KS3 and KS4
Strong practical and theoretical subject knowledge
GCSE Art experience desirable
Ability to manage practical classroom environments effectively
Creative and engaging approach to teaching
Strong organisation and communication skills
Salary
The salary for this Art Teacher position will be paid to scale on a contract to scale MPS/UPS.
