English Teacher Role in Newcastle

An academically ambitious Independent Secondary School in Newcastle is seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join its successful English Department. The role offers the opportunity to teach English Language and Literature across KS3-KS5 within a supportive and engaging environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3-KS5

  • Teach English Language and Literature

  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-Level examinations

  • Develop students' reading, writing and analytical skills

  • Assess progress and provide constructive feedback

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement

  • Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment activities

Candidate Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Strong English subject knowledge

  • Confidence teaching KS3 and KS4

  • Excellent classroom management skills

  • Strong communication and organisational abilities

  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
