Art Teacher Role in a Good Secondary School
A successful Good Secondary School in Nottinghamshire is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art Teacher to join its supportive Art Department. Recent Art teaching vacancies across Nottinghamshire have highlighted the demand for teachers who can deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 where appropriate.
The successful candidate will inspire students through a broad range of artistic disciplines while developing their creativity, technical ability and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across KS3-KS5
Develop students' practical and creative skills
Teach a range of artistic techniques and disciplines
Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-Level where required
Assess and monitor student progress
Provide constructive feedback to support development
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom practice
Contribute to exhibitions, enrichment and wider school activities
Candidate Requirements
QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Strong subject knowledge in Art and Design
Experience teaching Art at secondary level
Excellent classroom and behaviour management
Creative and engaging teaching approach
Strong communication and organisational skills
Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
