Site Manager Role in a Faith Primary School

A welcoming Faith Primary School in Haringey is seeking an experienced and dependable Site Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running, security and maintenance of the school premises. Current Haringey school site roles emphasise building maintenance, site security, contractor liaison and health and safety compliance.

This is a hands-on position for someone who is practical, organised and takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation and security of the school site

• Open and close the premises safely

• Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs

• Complete health and safety checks and maintain relevant records

• Liaise with contractors and external suppliers

• Monitor heating, lighting and other building systems

• Oversee the condition of buildings, grounds and facilities

• Support room setups and school events

• Respond appropriately to emergencies and site issues

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous site, premises, facilities or caretaking experience

• Strong practical and DIY skills

• Good knowledge of health and safety procedures

• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and use initiative

• Reliable and proactive approach

• Good communication skills

• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Previous experience working within a school or educational setting would be advantageous.
