A friendly and inclusive primary school in Aylesbury is seeking a dedicated School Administrator to support the smooth day-to-day running of the school office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a busy environment and takes pride in providing an efficient and professional service to pupils, parents, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the school's administrative functions run effectively while helping to create a positive and welcoming environment for the whole school community.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
Provide a warm and professional reception service for pupils, parents, visitors and staff.
Manage incoming telephone calls, emails and general enquiries efficiently.
Maintain accurate pupil and school records using systems such as SIMS or Arbor.
Support attendance administration, admissions and pupil data management.
Prepare letters, reports and school communications using Microsoft Office.
Assist with meetings, school events, appointments and diary management.
Follow visitor and safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety of pupils and staff.
Complete general administrative duties including filing, scanning, photocopying and document management.
Work closely with teachers, support staff and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the smooth running of the school office.
Provide wider administrative support as required.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience in an administrative, reception or office-based role.
Has excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
Is confident using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Has experience using SIMS, Arbor or another school Management Information System (desirable).
Communicates confidently and professionally with parents, pupils, colleagues and external visitors.
Can manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy in a busy environment.
Is approachable, friendly and committed to delivering excellent service.
Can work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
Understands the importance of confidentiality and professional conduct within a school environment.
