This role would suit a Music teacher who enjoys creating practical, engaging lessons while also ensuring students develop a secure understanding of musical theory and terminology.
You will teach students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering lessons that incorporate performance, composition, listening and analysis. The successful teacher should be confident working with students with different levels of musical experience and able to create an environment where students feel comfortable developing their skills.
There may also be opportunities to contribute to extracurricular music, performances and wider school events. The school values teachers who are willing to become involved in school life beyond their timetabled lessons.
You will work alongside colleagues to plan schemes of work, assess student progress and develop opportunities for students to engage with Music in different ways.

Salary
The salary for this Music Teacher position will be paid to scale on a contract to scale MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
