A well-established Secondary School in Bradford is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join its Science department as soon as possible. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a teacher who has strong subject knowledge and wants to join a collaborative department with high expectations for students.

The successful candidate will teach engaging Chemistry lessons and help students understand how scientific principles apply to the world around them. You will be expected to deliver lessons that combine clear explanation, practical work, questioning and opportunities for students to develop their scientific thinking.
At KS3, you will contribute to the wider Science curriculum, ensuring students develop the foundations they need before moving into their GCSE studies. At KS4, you will teach Chemistry content in preparation for examinations, helping students become confident with both theoretical concepts and practical applications.
A strong understanding of practical Science is important for the role, as students are encouraged to investigate ideas and develop their ability to work scientifically.
The department works collaboratively and shares resources and effective teaching strategies. You will be expected to contribute positively to this environment and support students in achieving ambitious outcomes.

Chemistry Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
• Chemistry Degree or relevant Science Degree
• Qualified Teacher Status
• Strong Chemistry subject knowledge
• Experience teaching Science at KS3
• GCSE Chemistry teaching experience
• KS5 experience advantageous
• Good practical Science skills
• Strong classroom management
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly
• Excellent communication skills
• Commitment to high standards

Salary
The salary for this Chemistry Teacher position will be paid to scale on a contract to scale MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
