At KS3, you will help students develop strong foundations in reading, writing, vocabulary and analytical skills. At KS4, you will prepare students for their GCSE examinations across English Language and Literature. There is also the possibility of teaching A-Level for a candidate with the appropriate experience and subject knowledge.

The department values teachers who can make lessons feel purposeful and relevant. You will be expected to plan carefully, explain clearly and create opportunities for students to develop their written and verbal communication.

You will have the support of an experienced English team, with opportunities to collaborate on schemes of work, assessment and resources.

Salary

The salary for this English Teacher position will be paid to scale on a contract to scale MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
