HR Manager | Outstanding Secondary School | Redbridge
An Outstanding secondary school in Redbridge is looking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day HR function and provide a professional, responsive service to staff and school leaders.
This is a key role within the school, combining hands-on HR management with the opportunity to improve processes, support managers and help create a positive working environment.
What will you be responsible for?
Managing the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to leavers
Providing advice and guidance on employee relations, absence, performance and conduct matters
Supporting safer recruitment and ensuring all pre-employment checks are completed correctly
Maintaining accurate and confidential personnel records and HR systems
Advising managers and senior leaders on HR policies and employment procedures
Coordinating staff contracts, variations, probation and other employment documentation
Supporting staff wellbeing, engagement and professional development initiatives
Monitoring HR data and producing reports where required
Ensuring HR processes remain compliant with current employment legislation and school requirements
About You
You will be an experienced HR professional who is confident handling a broad range of HR responsibilities. Previous experience within education would be advantageous, although strong HR experience from another sector will also be considered.
You should have excellent communication skills, sound knowledge of UK employment practices and the confidence to work with colleagues at all levels.
