An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Enfield is looking to appoint a practical and reliable DT Technician to join its Design & Technology Department from October 2026.

This is a hands-on role supporting teachers and students across a range of DT disciplines. You’ll be responsible for ensuring workshops are prepared, equipment is safe and materials are available for practical lessons.

The Role

• Prepare workshops, equipment and materials for lessons

• Support practical teaching across Design & Technology

• Assist with demonstrations and student practical work

• Maintain machinery, tools and workshop equipment

• Monitor stock levels and arrange replenishment

• Ensure tools and equipment are stored safely

• Carry out routine checks and report faults

• Support the department with health and safety procedures

• Keep workshops clean, organised and ready for teaching

About You

Previous experience as a DT Technician, Workshop Technician or within a practical/technical environment would be beneficial.

You’ll need to be confident working with tools and workshop equipment, highly organised and comfortable supporting students with practical activities. A good understanding of workshop health and safety is essential.
