A fantastic opportunity has become available for a dedicated Biology Teacher to join a successful Secondary School in Merseyside from September. The school is looking for a teacher who can combine strong scientific knowledge with engaging classroom practice and a genuine enthusiasm for helping students succeed.

The successful candidate will join a well-established Science department and will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that develop students' understanding of biological processes and encourage them to think scientifically.
At Key Stage 3, you may teach broader Science topics, while Key Stage 4 will focus more specifically on Biology content. The ability to explain scientific concepts clearly and use practical activities effectively will be important.
The department is committed to making Science accessible while maintaining high academic expectations. Students are encouraged to ask questions, investigate ideas and apply their knowledge rather than simply memorise information.
You will have access to established schemes of work and resources while also being encouraged to develop lessons that suit your classes. Collaboration is an important part of the department, with teachers regularly sharing ideas and supporting one another.

Biology Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
• Biology Degree or relevant Science Degree
• Qualified Teacher Status
• Strong Biology subject knowledge
• Experience teaching Science at KS3
• Experience teaching Biology at KS4
• A-Level Biology experience advantageous
• Good practical Science knowledge
• Strong classroom management
• Ability to differentiate lessons effectively
• Excellent communication skills
• Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning

Salary
The salary for this Biology Teacher position will be paid to scale on a contract to scale MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
