This is a great opportunity for a PE teacher who wants to work in a busy and supportive school environment. The successful candidate will deliver practical and theory-based PE lessons, encouraging students to participate confidently while developing their knowledge, skills and understanding of physical activity.
You will teach students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with responsibility for planning lessons that are appropriately challenging, inclusive and enjoyable. GCSE PE experience would be particularly useful, although the school is open to strong candidates with a good background in practical PE.
The role will involve teaching a range of activities and sports, so the ability to engage students with different interests and abilities is important. You should be able to create a positive atmosphere where students feel encouraged to participate and improve.
The PE department is a collaborative team and works closely together to organise lessons, assessments and wider sporting opportunities. There may also be opportunities to become involved in extracurricular activities, fixtures and school sports clubs.

Physical Education Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
• PE or Sports Degree
• Qualified Teacher Status
• Experience teaching PE at KS3
• KS4 PE experience desirable

• Ability to teach engaging theory lessons where required
• Confident classroom and behaviour management
• Ability to motivate students of different abilities
• Good communication skills
• Commitment to student development

Salary
The salary for this Physical Education Teacher position will be paid to scale on a contract to scale MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
